History

The History Committee maintains the story of St. Mark's, which begins all the way back in November of 1879. Through archival research and oral history, the History Committee ensures that our story will be known to every new generation. Records and artifacts are displayed in several locations on the top floor of the church as well as in the Parish House. The committee is also responsible for the planning and execution of anniversary events held during the November of every 5th-year milestone (years ending in 4 and 9).

Memorial & Gifts

The Memorial & Gifts Committee is responsible for the stewardship of both designated and undesignated monetary gifts given to St. Mark's as memorials for St. Mark's saints gone before us. Recent purchases using Memorial & Gifts funds include a new glass Communionware set for use during the Contemporary service, a Blackstone grill for use during Hampstead Day, the Farmers Market, and other St. Mark's outdoor events; and a new front door.

It recognizes that the Church's ministry is the mutual concern of both the laity and the pastor, thus including all the people of God in the shared work of ministry.
